The gut microbiome is intricately linked to nutrition and overall health.

There are thousands of bacterial species living in your gut—some even say we're more microbe than human!

A central part of ZOE's research has focused on investigating the gut microbiome and its links with the food we eat and metabolic health.

Join our webinar on Monday, January 11th at 12pm ET (5pm GMT) to be among the first to learn about the latest discoveries to come out of our PREDICT studies, the world's largest in-depth program of nutritional research.

We'll be joined by world-leading scientists Nicola Segata, Sarah Berry, and Tim Spector to dive into interesting world of the gut microbiome and the key role it plays in our health.

In this webinar you will learn about:

  • What the gut microbiome is
  • The complex links between the gut microbiome, the food we eat, and our metabolic health
  • The potential role for personalized nutrition advice based on understanding a person's unique gut microbiome

About the speakers

Nicola Segata, PhD

University of Trento, Italy

Dr Nicola Segata is an associate professor and principal investigator leading the CIBIO Laboratory of Computational Metagenomics at the Centre for Integrative Biology at the University of Trento. His work at the laboratory brings together computer scientists, microbiologists, statisticians, and clinicians with the aim to employ novel computational approaches to study the human microbiome from a biomedical perspective.

Sarah Berry, PhD

King's College London, UK

Dr. Sarah Berry is a reader in nutritional sciences in the Department of Nutritional Sciences at King's College London and the lead nutritional scientist at ZOE. Sarah's research specializes in the influence of dietary components on markers of cardiovascular disease risk, with particular focus on ‘food’ and ‘person’ determinants of the variability in  postprandial metabolism.

Tim Spector, MD FRCP FRSB

King’s College London, UK

Prof. Tim Spector is a scientific co-founder at ZOE, lead scientist of the COVID Symptom Study, professor of genetic epidemiology and director of the TwinsUK Registry at King's College, London.
